"Ningú s'imagina que un nen pot tenir càncer", això és el que va dir el Pol, un jove que va morir per aquesta malaltia. I ho recorda la seva mare, qui afirma que perdre un fill és el pitjor que et pot passar. De sobte, deixes de ser la mateixa persona i saps que la vida t'ha canviat ja per sempre. L'Estela, mare del Pol, explica també com reacciona la societat envers els familiars que estan passant el dol i com l'entorn, sovint, s'allunya de les persones en dol perquè no sap com acompanyar-les.
